Our Annual Make-A-Wish Foundation Charity Event
NEIRA is committed to helping children through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire. Every year we have a race weekend to raise money to help grant the wishes of these amazing children. This charity event is usually scheduled for the 1st or 2nd weekend in February. We begin the weekend with a special Saturday race, consisting of open competition racing with our members as well as members of other local racing organizations who always enjoy being a part of this day! Then we are back on the ice Sunday for our regular weekly events. When possible, children from the foundation come to our special race to meet the drivers and watch the action! They also get the excitement of waving the green flags for their drivers! From 1999 to 2004 we have donated more than $17,000.00 to this cause! Money is raised by members acquiring sponsorships and donations, along with all of the profit from both the Saturday and Sunday racing events. Help us help them by sponsoring a driver or a race, or simply making a cash donation for their cause! What great fun for a great cause!
